FAQ/Frequent Curiosities

This is somatic healing. Somatic comes from the Greek word soma, meaning the living body.
Most approaches to stress, burnout, and emotional exhaustion work through the mind. Analysis, strategy, reframing. This work goes underneath that. We follow sensation, breath, and what is actually present in your body right now, because the body often holds what the mind has not had time to process.
Each session begins with a question or an intention. From there we follow your experience at your own pace. There is no agenda, no homework, no fixing. Just a careful, curious attention to what is actually there.
For attorneys who have spent years managing their inner experience rather than meeting it, this tends to feel like a completely different kind of support.

Neither. This is a conscious choice.
Therapy tends to work through the past by talking about it. Coaching tends to work on the future by strategizing toward it. What I offer sits in its own category. We work with what is present right now, in your body, in this moment, and follow it with curiosity rather than analysis or goals.
I am a certified Compassionate Inquiry practitioner, trained under Dr. Gabor Maté. The approach is relational and body-based. It does not require a diagnosis and it is not about fixing you. It is about meeting what is actually there and allowing it to shift.
Attorneys who have worked with therapists and coaches and still feel something unaddressed often find this work reaches a different layer entirely.

You can expect a grounded, unhurried space where your pace and intention lead.
I bring presence, curiosity, and integrity to each session. There is structure, but we follow what your system is actually presenting rather than a fixed agenda. You will be invited to notice, reflect, and name what is arising. Between sessions, small practices help you stay connected to what shifted.
I am not here to fix you or push you toward a predetermined outcome. I am here to pay careful attention alongside you, and to follow what is actually there.
Most people leave sessions feeling something has moved, even if they cannot immediately name what.

This one is the most personal section on the site. And it shows. The closing blessing especially — "May you and all beings experience heart peace, love, embodied belonging, and liberation" — that is genuinely you. But it is not attorney language and it will lose people right at the moment they were starting to trust you.
Here is my honest read: keep the heart of it, translate the language.
Why do you do this work?
"Because something shifts when a person feels genuinely met. Not analyzed, not advised, not managed. Met.
I have spent over a decade in healing spaces and what I keep seeing is that the people who seem the most capable on the outside are often carrying the most alone. Attorneys especially. The ones who are excellent at their work, who hold it together for everyone around them, who have tried to think their way through what is actually a body experience.
I do this work because I know what it is to sit with someone in that place and feel something move. That does not get old.
I bring curiosity, presence, and a deep trust in each person's own wisdom. I am not here to tell you what you need. I am here to help you hear what you already know.

All sessions are currently offered via Zoom. This may change in the future. Remote sessions work well and many people find the privacy and comfort of their own space supports the work.
