Honoring Grief and Discomfort During the Holidays
The holidays invite us into our heart chakra. It is a season that comes with expectations of joy yet activation of grief for so many. Both joy and grief are powers of the heart chakra.
How do you drop your awareness down into your heart space?
How do you honor what is active in your heart chakra?
How does grief show up for you during the holiday season?
What do you need to honor your process of grieving?
How can you best care for yourself during the holiday season?
How can you best care for and attune to your inner child’s needs during the holiday season?
Boundaries are important. We have the right to go slow. We have the right to create space for ourselves. We have the right to our grief process. We have the right to not be joyful if we are not joyful. We have the right to say no.
Allow for a moment your mental energy to soften; allow your brain and thinking mind to relax. Bring your awareness and breath to slowly drop down into your heart space.
What is there that asks to be honored?
Align with your inner loving witness in the space of your spiritual heart. From this vantage point within your heart, you are aligned with an eternal flow of grace and unconditional love. Let this space be the focal point of your awareness and breath. Look out from here to witness the joy and grief in your heart.
As you align with your inner loving witness see your joy and grief with grace and allow for both to be, exactly as they are, without any fuss for change, adaptation or judgement. Breathe and allow the prana in your breath to flow through your grief, your joy and your entire system.
Affirmations:
I have the right to be here, just as I am.
I have the right to all my feelings.
I have the right to say no.
I have the right to create space for myself.
I have the right to stay connected to my core.
May all beings find self-acceptance and connect with a power larger then themselves that they can truly relax into.
Actively honoring grief and joy,
Leigh
Please note: The process of deepening a heart connection can be challenging. I am not bypassing the challenges some of us face with feeling and with being willing to discover what is there. Reach out to a healing practitioner, therapist or trusted friend or community member if you need support.
