Compassionate Inquiry Invites You To Know Your Body's Aesthetic Equations

Compassionate Inquiry and Akashic Records with Leigh Aschoff

Our bodies are full of wisdom poems. Compassionate Inquiry is a somatic healing approach that invites you to know, and benefit from, the technology inherent in the poetry of your body.

A typical session begins with your intention. From a shared resonant understanding of your intention, we explore various features of your experiences related.

For those new to CI, setting an intention is a powerful part of the process. It invites you to pause, check in with yourself and discover, connect with, what most wants to be explored.

What do you want to shine light on today in your session?

Taking the time to fine tune your intention supports the flow of the session in a powerful way. It gives us something to anchor to and explore from.

The features we explore end up creating what I consider an aesthetic equation, a poem or a song.

What can we learn from the constellation of our experiences? We can discover how the past may be showing up in the present.

If it is, we are invited to feel the body sensations of this new awareness. We are invited to notice what it is like to explore how something happening in the present day may have a root far back.

Being continually frustrated in traffic, experiencing embarrassment when the waiter forgets your meal or feeling like a failure because you did not receive the professional review or promotion you expected are all rich areas to explore.

A rich area is a portal to a deeper connection with yourself. The areas we need to reconnect with ourselves the most are often out of easy sight or reach. Compassionate Inquiry is an approach to support this journey to reconnecting with ourselves.

Knowing your body’s aesthetic equations gives you an embodied understanding of your work. When you know your work, you get to know it more and more as it arises within you throughout your day to day experiences. Part of the sessions invites you to choose actions to engage in this work. Over time, if you engage in your work in a consistent way, you relate with your experiences much differently and this leads to more embodied (inner) balance by way of open connection.

Open connection is support by compassion. Compassion arises spontaneously in the presence of truth. As we deepen our relationship with what is really true (not the untrue stories and beliefs), we have the opportunity to experience clarity and freedom.

The healing work you engage with for yourself has a healing impact on the collective. I encourage you to remember this, especially when you are in a pit of tension or are in the process of a heavy rep. Incremental repetitions lead to transformational changes. May we all remember how connected we are to one another as we engage in the healing process of knowing our body’s aesthetic equations.
